Refund Policy
This policy outlines how refund eligibility is determined for VidyaSetu Admission professional advisory and guidance service fees.
Last reviewed: October 2024 [Placeholder - Subject to formal legal ratification]
Scope of This Policy
This policy governs refund eligibility for fees paid to VidyaSetu Admission for educational advisory, admission guidance, application support, and related services under the packages published on this website.
Specific refund terms applicable to your engagement are additionally governed by the individual written service agreement executed at the time of onboarding. In case of any conflict, the written service agreement takes precedence.
VSA Service Fees vs. Institutional Fees
All fees paid to VidyaSetu Admission represent professional compensation for educational advisory, profile assessment, research, and application guidance services only. University tuition fees, examination fees, government counselling portal registration charges, laboratory deposits, hostel dues, and living expenses are strictly separate and must be paid directly by the student or parent to the respective institutions.
VidyaSetu Admission is not in a position to influence or process refunds for fees paid directly to universities, government examination bodies, counselling portals, hostel offices, or any other institutional authority.
Students and parents must raise refund or fee disputes related to institutional charges directly with the relevant institution or authority.
Service Work and Commencement
VidyaSetu Admission advisory work is bespoke and case-specific. Upon client onboarding and case activation, the advisory team typically commences:
- Initial academic profile assessment
- Route and eligibility research
- Document checklist preparation
- Option roadmap (Plan A–E) formulation
- Application timeline coordination
Because customized research and advisory work begins at case activation, the default position is that service fees are non-refundable once this process has commenced.
When Refund Eligibility May Arise
Specific refund eligibility is governed by the applicable service agreement and the refund terms communicated at the time of service.
Examples of circumstances that may be considered (subject to the applicable service agreement) include:
- Service cancellation by the client prior to case activation and commencement of advisory work.
- Where VidyaSetu Admission is demonstrably unable to provide the contracted scope of services due to VSA's own operational circumstances.
VidyaSetu Admission does not guarantee refund eligibility solely based on a preferred admission outcome not being achieved. Higher education admissions are competitive and dependent on institutional criteria outside VSA's control.
Non-Refundable Situations
Unless the applicable service agreement explicitly provides otherwise, fees are generally not refundable in the following circumstances:
- Advisory work has commenced (profile assessment, research, or application support initiated).
- The client's preferred course, college, or admission route was not available due to institutional eligibility, seat availability, or cut-off changes.
- The client chose to withdraw from the advisory process voluntarily after onboarding.
- Information provided by the client was inaccurate, resulting in misaligned advisory guidance.
- The student's admission attempt was unsuccessful due to examination performance, eligibility gaps, or institutional rejection — as these are not within VSA's control.
No Unconditional Admission or Refund Guarantee
VidyaSetu Admission does not offer an unconditional “money-back if admission does not happen” guarantee as a standard commitment.
VidyaSetu Admission does not guarantee admission, seat allocation, cut-off qualification, examination scores, scholarship grants, hostel room allocation, or post-degree employment. Higher education admissions are competitive and contingent upon student performance and institutional criteria.
Any representation to the contrary — verbal or otherwise — unless clearly documented in the signed service agreement, should not be relied upon.
Refund Request Process
If you believe a refund may be applicable under your service agreement, please:
- Submit a written refund request to: vidyasetuadmission@gmail.com
- Include your full name, enrolment details, the service agreement reference, and a description of the basis for your refund request.
- Attach any supporting documentation you consider relevant.
Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the applicable service agreement. Processing timelines will be communicated after review.
Institutional Fees Are Outside VSA Refund Control
Fees remitted to universities, government counselling portals, examination authorities, hostel offices, or any institutional body are entirely outside the scope of this Refund Policy and are governed by that institution's own refund and cancellation rules.
VidyaSetu Admission cannot initiate, process, or guarantee refunds for fees paid to any third-party institution or authority.
